Video: Gregg Allman Releases Live CD/DVD

Gregg Allman hasn’t missed a beat since the break-up of his Hall of Fame namesake act, the Allman Brothers Band, last October. The 67-year-old musician has toured almost continuously with his own Gregg Allman band throughout 2015.

Now Allman is releasing a live CD/DVD, Gregg Allman Live: Back To Macon, GA featuring more than a half-dozen Allman Brothers classics, several tunes from his solo career, and a couple of newer songs as well. The CD and DVD are out August 7; vinyl August 14.

Allman recorded the show January 14, 2014, at Macon, Georgia’s 1,000-seat Grand Opera House. The DVD includes special behind-the-scenes footage, including the band visiting old friend Mama Louise at Macon’s H&H Restaurant.
