Gene Simmons (b. 1949) is a rock legend best known as the bassist and co-lead singer of KISS. He is the co-founder of the band, which has been releasing music since 1973. KISS has released 20 studio albums on labels such as Casablanca, Mercury, and Universal. Key albums include Destroyer (1976), Love Gun (1977), and Dynasty (1979). Their latest album, Monster, was released in 2012. Simmons has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has also won several awards for his songwriting.
