Jason Newsted (1981-) is a metal bassist, formerly of Metallica and Megadeth. He's currently signed to Chophouse Records and released his debut solo album, "Heavy Metal Music," in 2013. Key albums include Metallica's "Master of Puppets" (1986) and "Death Magnetic" (2008), and Megadeth's "So Far, So Good...So What!" (1988). He's won multiple Grammy Awards.
